How to make a profile picture border
- Upload a photo by clicking the box above or dragging an image onto it.
- In the Templates tab, pick a border style — or tap Upload image to use your own picture as the border.
- Tap a colour swatch to recolor a pattern, and use the Width + / − buttons to make the border thicker or thinner.

Tips for a border that looks good at small sizes

- With your own image as the border, only its outer edge is visible. Choose a texture with detail all over (a pile of pearls, a lace close-up) instead of one object in the middle.
- A very pale border can disappear against a light feed, so pick a slightly deeper shade if it will sit on a white background.

Can I change the colours of a border?
Yes — every pattern (Solid, Dots, Gingham, Star, Hearts, Stripes) has one or two colour swatches next to the preview. Tap a swatch to recolour that part of the border instantly, without switching templates. A border made from your own image keeps its original colours, so it has no swatches.
What size and format is the profile picture I download?
A 1024 × 1024 px PNG with a transparent area outside the circle. That is comfortably larger than the 512 × 512 px that platforms such as Discord ask for, so it stays sharp when Discord, Instagram or TikTok scale it down.
Will my profile picture get cropped weirdly on Instagram, Discord or TikTok?
No — every border is a clean circle that fits entirely inside the square image you download, matching how these platforms display profile pictures, so nothing important gets cut off.
Does my photo get uploaded anywhere?
Editing happens locally in your own browser, and your photo is not sent to Cutiora's servers. The one exception is the optional Share to Pinterest button: it temporarily uploads the finished image so Pinterest can receive it, and that copy is deleted automatically afterwards.
